My First Smartphone (2023)

My First Smartphone was a project designed to support teens as they navigate the exciting, but often complex, world of digital technology. While access to devices and online platforms opens up new opportunities for learning, expression, and connection, it also comes with challenges related to safety, privacy, and responsible use. Through interactive workshops, practical resources, and hands-on learning, the project provided participants with essential digital literacy skills. Topics included online safety, digital footprints, respectful communication, and healthy screen habits, all tailored to the real-life experiences of today’s teens. By empowering young people with the knowledge and confidence to make smart choices online, My First Smartphone helped build a foundation for safer, more responsible digital engagement. This project was supported by the United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
