Other Side of the Coin (2021)

Other Side of the Coin was a youth-focused project aimed at building critical thinking skills and media literacy in an age of growing disinformation. Through interactive workshops and real-world examples, young participants learned how to recognize media manipulation techniques, detect biased reporting and verify information across multiple sources. The project encouraged a culture of curiosity, encouraging youth to always explore the "other side of the coin", to question, analyze and seek out diverse perspectives before forming opinions. By equipping participants with the tools to navigate today’s complex media landscape, the project promoted informed decision-making and resilience against misinformation. The project was supported by the Niwano Peace Foundation, Japan.
